After-Care Ministries Society (ACMS) is a ministry of reconciliation in line with the scriptures.
The participation of volunteers is essential to the success of our program.

2 Corinthians 5 v 18

And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.

It is understood that the volunteers we seek are mature, committed Christians, in good standing with their Church, have a clean Police record, care strongly for those in need and who have a personal mission to see offenders come to faith in Christ.

They will be prepared to nurture them and establish a long-term mentorship with them.  It is understood that the volunteer will subscribe to ACMS by agreeing to the Statement of Faith as well as agreeing to the Commitment Statement listed below:

  • Abide by the policies and procedures of this Ministry,

  • Keep all information that is obtained, completely confidential,

  • Complete any training programme required to be undertaken by the Ministry,

  • Work with other volunteers from whichever Church, denomination, culture or other religious backgrounds who have been vetted by ACMS,

  • Notify ACMS of any problems which you are made aware of. This can include keeping things secret which maybe unlawful,

  • Understand that the position of a volunteer is reviewed annually,

  • Obtain a CPIC (Police record check) when advised and introduced by the Executive Director of ACMS.

Prayer Support

Prayer Support is vital to our walk with the Lord but for inmates who may not have a faith or they have fallen back from their walk.  Their families have been fractured by the temporary loss of their bread winner, loved one, parent or spouse.  We are able to pass on some information about the inmate but are unable to identify him or her.

We know well that the Lord is the answer to their needs and even though we are not aware of the details, He is more than able to bring release.

We desire to see these individuals changed by His Holy Spirit and brought to a real and loving relationship with Jesus.

Please let us know if you are able to pray for their families, their protection, their issues outside of Jail, employment and their Salvation.

We will maintain a contact with you that may involve the support of physical needs as you will see in our latest R3 Newsletter...

Blessings and thank you for your commitment and passion.

Financial Support

ACMS is principally a volunteer organisation.  It is always seeking funds to provide support to ex-offenders and to grow our own programmes towards young people and female offenders.  No matter how small the gift, we are truly grateful to the giver.  We are also able to offer a taxable receipt.

If you wish to give any amount, please go to our Donate page where you will find all the details by which you would be able to give.  Bless you for your giving.

Care Pack Project

Our care pack has been extremely well received by both the inmates and the Corrections service. They now want to adopt the idea on a wider scale!

With your help we will involve more than 500 inmates a year.

What a care pack includes:

1 Face Towel and 1 Hand Towel

1 Journal and Pen

1 Toothpaste and Brush Set

1 Bar of Soap and 1 Deodorant

1 Bible - whichever is available

1 Scissors and Nail Clippers Set

The individual items are very important, but inexpensive.

If you could provide any of the contents that would be of great help.
